We're Proud of Recent TRC Research Presentations

Dr. Irene Bueno-Padilla

M Verant, I Bueno-Padilla and L Cruz
We are proud to share news of recent presentations from TRC Resident Dr. Irene Bueno-Padilla at the Wildlife Disease Association Conference, held in Knoxville, TN.  Dr. Bueno-Padilla's topics were "Socio-economical and political aspects of spent lead ammunition” and “A tool to assess the public health risks of wildlife importation into the United States: The case of rodents from Latin America.”  She is preparing for her PhD program this fall at the College of Veterinary Medicine, and we will miss her in our TRC clinic very much!

Former TRC staff Dr. Luis Cruz also presented.   He is finishing his PhD soon, with a focus on the development of a non-lethal technique to evaluate contaminant exposure on wild birds, and to measure air contaminants with small monitoring devices deployed on the nests of wild birds. You might recall an earlier post to catch up with Dr. Cruz here

Also attending was Michelle Verant, former TRC clinic volunteer/University of Minnesota alumni, now doing her PhD in Madison, WI.
