What TRC Did With Our Week . . .

TRC staff Adam Barnett watched as two conference attendees
worked with our winged ambassadors.
We always feel like we have exciting things going on, but this week was extra special here at TRC.  Since Tuesday, we have been hosting our Care and Management of Captive Raptors workshop, and we held our annual Duke Lecture last night.

The Workshop is a four-day intensive experience for both novice and expert bird managers.  They learned the finer points of caring for and maintaining captive raptors for education purposes.

Attendees received hands-on experience and expert
instruction and advice to take back to their home institutions.

The Duke Lecture speaker was Dr. Thor Hanson, whose presentation on feathers was engaging, informative and very entertaining.  His delivery was intended for all interest levels, and many attendees remarked on how much they learned and enjoyed the presentation.
